How it works:
Because of the 20% CSS discount that you receive when you sign up to our CSS program, a 080€ bid using our CSS, for example, is the same as bidding 1.00€ when advertising via Google Shopping. Therefore one can also say that your bidding power increases by 25%.
What it means:
Having a 20% discount alone doesn't automatically mean that you will get better results. The effect of a 25% bid increase depends on what you do with the CSS discount and how you optimize your campaigns.
For example, if you don't change your bids when signing up to Cobiro CSS, you are likely to see more volume - an increase of impressions and clicks. The average CPC often stays the same since you did not change your bids.
Can I see the results directly?
If you run a campaign with automated bidding, the effect of using Cobiro CSS will be the same, but what actually happens is less straightforward as the automated bidding algorithm changes the bidding constantly at the time of ad auction in order to bring you the best results possible. This makes it so there isn't a direct way to see the discounts in action as a graph, for example.
Then how can I be sure the discount is working?
By analyzing your results!
Regardless of how you decide to run your new campaign, the most important thing to note is that you should analyze results by comparing a period of, for example, 1 month, to the month prior. When analyzing these results, you should also always keep in mind seasonality and market changes (volume tends to increase around the time of the holidays).
The changes in results can be subtle, but if you compare a month or two to the months prior, you should be able to see the practical effect of the CSS discount in the cost, CPC, and impressions metrics.
