Free listings allow you to show your products to customers for free. If your products are eligible for free listings, they may appear in different places across Google.
Free Listings, Customer Reviews & Placing Products Outside of Europe
GMC NEXT has made the switch process better but still it is not a smooth ride. All of these features above need to be selected from the primary GMC which resides on Google CSS.
You might be telling yourself "I've never run into that with other CSS, and as such, it is making me less confident about using Cobiro, due to the added risk of the transition" but we are confident that other CSS have the same process for Free Listings i.e. Cobiro is a Google Premium partner and we had this conversation with Google before. Sometimes accounts just work without issue; other times, they need to create a new, separate MC with Google in order to choose which CSS shows Free Listings.
It depends on how many times the merchant switched CSS or when or where they created the GMC. There can be a difference already on the 2nd switch. You might have gone problem-free from Google to the first CSS, making it the CSS for Free Listings, and when switching the second time to a CSS the choice will most likely not automatically follow. For this situation, the solution is to choose Cobiro CSS to show Free Listings and that can only be done from a GMC on Google CSS where the domain is claimed.

Setting up Free Listing
In order for you to be able to run free listings inside your Cobiro CSS Merchant Center account, you will need a parallel Merchant Center account running with Google Shopping CSS that has claimed and verified the exact same URL as your current Cobiro CSS account.
This is because Merchant Center accounts running with Cobiro CSS do not have the same settings as those running with Google Shopping CSS and, as such, a Google Shopping CSS account is required to turn on free listings inside a Cobiro CSS account.
Making Cobiro CSS the chosen CSS for free listings in Europe
In order to turn on free listings for your Cobiro CSS Merchant Center account, please follow these instructions:
1. Navigate to Google's Merchant Center website;
2. Create a new account. We recommend using an incognito window or using a different e-mail than the one you use to log into your Cobiro CSS Merchant Center account;
3. Claim and verify the exact same URL inside the new account as is in the Cobiro CSS Merchant Center account. We recommend copying and pasting the URL to ensure that it's the exact same in both accounts;
4. Inside the new account, navigate to Settings -> Shopping ads setup;
5. Click the "Comparison Shopping Services" tab;
6. Scroll down, find Cobiro CSS, move your mouse over Cobiro CSS, and click the 3 dots that appear;
7. Choose "Make this the CSS for free listings in Europe".
Please note: It can take a few hours before products start to gradually become active in free listings.
