When linking your Google Ads account you may experience a number of issues. Here we outline some possible issues and how to resolve them.
The general advice is to use incognito mode in your browser when troubleshooting.
If you do not have a Google Ads account
I do not have a Google Ads account
Until the option "let Cobiro Handle it" is ready, you can create a Google Ads account on Google.
Make sure your Google Ads account is fully set up, including billing.
Wait for 5-6 minutes before trying to link until the account can be detected. You can always go back a step and try to link again.
If you are creating a Google Shopping campaign, then you need to make sure that the standard currency on your shop and your Google Ads currency are the same.
I just created a Google Ads account but Cobiro can’t find it
It often takes a few minutes for Google Ads to make new accounts available to Cobiro. It is advised to wait up to 30 minutes and then try again. If the problem still persists you should contact our Support Team.
If you already have a Google Ads account
When I click “Link account” nothing happens
Please check if a new browser window or tab has opened in the background. If you have a pop-up blocker or ad blocker you may need to disable this.
If you created a Google Ads account with a non-google email, you also need to create a regular Google account with that email in order to link when using Cobiro.
No Google Ads account found
Make sure you are logged into your existing Google Ads account. If the setup of your Google Ads account is not fully completed, Cobiro is unable to find or link to your Google Ads account. To finish creating your Google Ads account a payment method (e.g. credit card) must be registered.
Your manager account is linked to another manager
I am getting a connection error / Unable to link
Make sure your Google Ads account is fully set up, including billing.
If you are creating a Google Shopping campaign make sure the currencies match on your shop and in Google Ads. Read more about Currency Mismatch.
I have linked the wrong Google Ads account, what should I do?

Google account types
There are 2 types of Google Ads accounts: MCC and a standard account.
What is an MCC?
MCC stands for “My Client Center”. This Google Ads account type is used by advertisers or agencies who are managing multiple client accounts.
What's the difference when linking?
An individual Google Ads account can't be directly managed by more than 5 manager accounts*.
A manager account can't be directly managed by more than 1 other manager account*.
If linking fails, then possibly your account is an MCC and the MCC is a “Sub-Account” of another MCC rather than the top MCC.
To resolve this issue, you either need to create another MCC or remove the existing MCC linking under Settings > Account Access > Managers.
Alternatively, you can link to whichever tp MCC is the manager.
If you have any questions, please contact our Support Team.
